ABOUT BURNING TRUTH: Would you like to take a journey into the dreamworld of gypsy? Would you like to be transported to the magical realm of faerie? Burning Truth would like to take you there. At the heart of Burning Truth are Terry "The Troubadour" and Luminara "The Fire Twirler". The first time that Luminara danced with her fire poi under the moonlight while Terry played his guitar sitting by a camp fire, they felt a resonation within. This would be the spark that would ignite Burning Truth, inspire Terry's music, and transform their performances into a sensory feast! While at a gathering in Portland, Oregon, Terry heard a beautifully haunting sound that gripped his heart like two lovers in a firm embrace - It was a gypsy minor scale being played on a mandolin. Tracing the gypsy road back to its roots and drawing on influences from Spain to Hungary and beyond, the gypsy scales would prove to be a perfect match for evoking the power and passion of Fire! Luminara the fire twirler is the muse inspiring the music. As a dancer she brings visual delights of play with poi, staff, fingers, fans, clubs, Isis wings, veils and more. As a musician she adds her solid drum beats and soaring vocals. As an artist she brings heartfelt reverence and uninhibited joy that is contagious! Focusing on the intrinsic connection between music, song, and dance, Burning Truth incorporates elements of theater and mythic storytelling reflecting the changing seasons and The Wheel of the Year. Whether Burning Truth is performing as a duo or as a troupe, the audience is sure to be swept up in a beautiful ballet of visual delight in perfect harmony with Burning Truth's enticing world beat.
